India is the second top spam generating nation

According to the report by computer security firm Sopho, India is the second in the list of the top spam generating nations in world. India has share of around seven per cent of global junk mails sent during the first quarter of the year. United States is at the top position with more then 13 per cent of world’s total junk mails. Brazil and South Korea are at 3rd and 4th position with 6.8 per cent and 4.8 per cent of the junk mails respectively. However, China, the most infamous nation for cyber crimes is at 15th position with just 1.9 per cent of the junk mails.
Other top spam generating countries are

5. Vietnam (3.4 per cent)
6. Germany (3.2 per cent)
7. Britain (3.1 per cent)
8. Russia (3.1 per cent)
9. Italy (3.1 per cent)
10. France (3.0 per cent)
11. Romania (2.5 per cent)
12. Poland (2.4 per cent).

According to the report, junk mails, which virtually come from malware-infected computers and cause a huge strain on company resources and leads to lost productivity, accounts for 97 per cent of all messages received by business email servers, many of them selling counterfeit or illicit goods.

Internet Security major Norton Symantec has come up with a big list of Top 100 Dirtiest sites, which might infect your computer with malware, trojans or viruses. This list was compiled by Nortan Safe Web. It is a web site of Norton which analyses web sites’ security risks. In this list, most of the web sites are having adult content, however some of them are related to ice skating, deer hunting, catering and legal services. While browsing on internet we face many online threats like viruses, phishing, and spyware, and there are many web sites which try to steal our credit card numbers or email passwords, or even try to crash the operating system. So it is always better to test the unknown Web site with this tool.
